Story Writing Pack for KS1 & KS2 Creative Writing

This Story Writing Pack is designed to support KS1 and KS2 children aged 6–11 as they build confidence with creative writing. Ideal for home learning, classrooms, or home schooling, it helps children plan, structure, and develop their own stories step by step.

Children begin by choosing one of the nine picture prompts, using guided questions to plan their ideas before moving on to structured story writing. This approach supports imagination, vocabulary development, and clear sentence formation while making the writing process feel more manageable.

The pack includes four A4 reusable mats — one for story planning and three for story writing — allowing children to draft, edit, and improve their work over time.

All mats are A4 in size and printed on thick quality card with a gloss laminate finish, making them durable, wipe-clean, and suitable for repeated use.
